13 Krauss is a Celtic folk punk sextet from Zaragoza (Spain). The band evolved from a punk rock band to a bagpipes punk band when they “saw the light” at a The Real McKenzies show. The current line-up is Bodi (lead vocals), Mario (vocals, acoustic guitar), David (bagpipes, tin whistle, mandolin, bckg vocals), Gabi (accordion), Miguel (electric guitar, bckg vocals), Buesa (bass) and Davo (drums).
A demo track was released in February 2013. It’s available for free download at Bandcamp. After some gigs in their area, the band recorded their debut album “Seguir en pie” at “El Tunel” studios in Zaragoza. The 9 tracks that made it to the album are an instrumental, seven songs in Spanish (even a new version of “Atlantida”) and one song in English (“Insane”) and were recorded and produced by Xavi Estivil together with the band. The album was mastered by Javier Roldón at “Vacuum Mastering” in Zaragoza. It was launched at a release party last December 5th, 2013 in Zaragoza. “Seguir en pie” has been released by the band and it can be purchased at Bandcamp.
13Krauss have shared the stage with London ska legends Bad Manners and they will be playing at the Saint Patrick’s Day Festival 2014 in Madrid together with The Fatty Farmers (Spain), The Detonators (Serbia) and Selfish Murphy (Rumania). Prior to the festival, a release party for the vinyl version of “Seguir en Pie” will take place in Zaragoza.
