Bob taught himself to play the Irish whistles in the mid-70's by listening to recordings by Andy M. Stewart and Cherish the Ladies. He is part of the Celtic Band at the McLean Bible Church in Tyson's Corner, VA. Bob has recorded with many vocalists and instrumentalists over the 35+ years he has been playing the Irish whistles.
In 2001, Bob started "The Whistleworks Trilogy", a compilation of CD's that evolved since the Irish whistle has been heard in movie soundtracks, TV commercials, rock & roll, and everything else imaginable.
The third CD of the trilogy, "My Lines", was taken from Psalm 16: verse 6, which says that "my boundary lines have fallen in pleasant places". "My Lines" was inspired and written by Allen Levi, an attorney who left his law practice to pursue music full time. This CD focused on the broad spectrum of the instrument and how it can be used in so many different musical genres.
