A blend of traditional Irish drinking songs and ballads from the likes of the
Dubliners, Clancy Brothers, Great Big Sea, & Pogues with modern Irish styling’s borrowed from the likes of Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, Mahones,
LeperKhanz, & The Mighty Regis.
Irish music is all about getting the crowd involved and we do just that! The
songs we play get people dancing, clapping and singing along with us, not to
mention drinking! We play mostly upbeat songs with a few ballads thrown in
from time to time, but focus on playing to the crowd regardless of the situation.

With a sound that is reminiscent of the Pogues, but with a bit more control, we consist
of 4 pieces who play rhythm guitar, tin whistle, banjo, mandolin, accordion, Irish bones, bells, upright bass, bodhrán, and drums. Since forming in March of 2011, Dublin Public has played many pubs, bars, venues, and private parties only to be invited back again and again. If you are looking for the perfect party band then look no further because we never leave before the pints are empty!
