Formed in 2010, this exciting Baltimore-area Celtic rock band is made up of musicians who span a generation, bringing Irish, classic rock, punk and alternative rock influences together. While it may have been a “mishap” as to how they were formed, their music is not left up to chance. Inspired by bands such as the Pogues, Flogging Molly, and the Young Dubliners, their music has Irish roots, but with a healthy dose of rock, hence their slogan: “not your mother’s Irish band.” Gaelic Mishap is impressing Irish rock lovers with performances at many pubs, festivals and events such as the national Shamrock Fest for two years in a row. Armed with a large repertoire of songs ranging from mostly G-rated to “let’s save this for the pubs,” this band can entertain at any venue. Band members play multiple instruments that include: fiddle,
guitar, banjo, harmonica, bass, drums, bodhran and whistle and of course all while providing impressive vocals and harmonies.
