* 1/4 cup real butter
* 1 cup sugar
* 2 eggs, beaten
* 2 cups all-purpose flour
* 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
* 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
* Pinch of salt
* 1 cup sour cream
* 1 cup raisins
Preheat oven to 350°. In a mixing bowl, blend butter and sugar together until smooth.
Beat eggs in one at a time; add sour cream. Sift flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and
salt together, blend in sourcream. Fold in raisins. Pour into a 9x5 well-greased loaf pan.
Bake in a 350° oven for 50 to 60 minutes. To test for doneness: A toothpick will come
out clean when inserted near the center.
