Band Bio:
Every single band-mate had decades of experience when IRXN met first in 2006. Initiating persons were Markus (drums) and Reinhold (guitar) after having had a similar Folk-Project together. Berni (vocals, guitar), German (violin) and Peter (bass,tuba) joined the new project subsequently and the whole thing started with a fixed appointment:
A full-length show @ The Bavarian Highland Games in Paffenhofen Bavaria the same year. This meant a hard time of synchronizing but a great starting point for our visionary project: Bringing back the root-spirits behind the well-known Bavarian Traditional Music. IRXN songs are part of various compilations as well.
IRXN is a kind of musical melting-pot as every single band-mate is coming from a different genre - the grid for our music is our vision of having old tunes turned into new style by giving in appropriately our own biographies.

German - Violin Besides his studies of classical music in Vienna, German got inspirations from early music, traditional folk music, Vienna parlour music, experimental-, ethno-, meditation-music. Ad-lib style in various shades is up to now the recurrent theme in his musical awareness. |

Peter - Bass, Tuba Besides Rock, Pop and Jazz in various attributes, Peter initially came into the merging of those styles with Bavarian music by playing the bass with the 'Hundsbuam' from 2002 to 2005. |

Reinhold - Electric Guitar Reinhold's musical roots are definitely Punk rock/Ska-punk. But actually he's influenced by everything raw, brute, callowed, gross, unpolished, or just: different. He was caught by Punk rock for about 15 years. A big weakness for early music from the Middle Ages and renaissance resulted in the project D'Oxnhex. |

Markus - Drums Markus was influenced by the Soul-, Funk-, Pop- and Rock-music of the 70's and 80's. Beginning of the 90's he was working a lot inside classical music and Jazz. The music from Hubert von Goisern and Attwenger was his inspiration to turn to Bavarian Rock-music, and of course the fact that his father was a well-known Folk-singer, traveling between pubs to perform. |

Berni - Vocals, Guitar Berni is definitely rooted in traditional Bavarian Folk-Music, played guitar in various folk bands and was singing in a duo with his sister Martina as on numerous folk meetings (also airplay's and on TV). He's still performing as singer-songwriter (BernswanA). |
