Since its inception in 2012 Keltikon has evolved into a exciting live band on the Swiss music circuit. With bagpipes, guitars, bass and drums supported by fiddle, flute and tin whistle, the band plays a variety of Celtic Rock styles from soft rock ballads to Irish/Scottish jigs & reels, blasted out as heavy or even punk rock, with screaming electric guitar cutting across wailing highland bagpipes, to the thumping rhythm of bass and drums. Keltikon played 27 concerts during 2013 and by positive public demand the band was often re-booked by venues for a second, third or even fourth concert.
In Feb. 2014 Keltikon released its first album: "Agenbite of Inwit", which can be purchased in all music shops and online stores in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. Songs can be additionally be downloaded from many music platforms, such as iTunes, Amazon and many others.
In the meantiime those songs are played regularly by many Celtic/Folk/Rock radios all over Europe and USA and found a huge positive echo in many reviews. There the group’s music sits side-by-side with established international Celtic groups. Keltikon became band of the month May '14 on the worldwide heard Celtic Folk Punk Radio.
