Bio: The Celtic-Influenced World Rock of the Mimi Burns Band has graced stages in Europe, the U.S. and the U.K. This epic show includes members who have played with artists such as Hawk- wind and John Two-Hawks to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. The Mimi Burns Band’s music has been played on radio stations in over 30 countries, helped to raise more than $30,000 during benefit concerts, and has been featured in the play ‘Women of Lockerbie.” They have collaborated with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic in a symphonic realization of their music, and continue to win over new fans in all parts of the world. The message of MBB is that there is more that connects us than that which divides us. They are driven by the idea that the music they create on stage every night can help to bring healing to the world. “Brave Journey,” the band’s newest album release, has been quoted as delivering a “fresh new sound” with “soaring vocals” and “fantastic songwriting arrangements.” The Mimi Burns Band plan to be touring the U.S., Europe, Ireland and the U.K. beginning in the spring season of 2013. |
