"Poor Troubled Life"
CD Review
What a command performance Lexington Field delivers in their latest CD, "Poor Troubled Life". Their enthusiasm for their music astounds me...it is infectious, exciting and inspiring!
"Cripple Creek", the first song on the CD, is a rousing instrumental that features violinist, Cami Smith. That lass can play the fiddle like
no other and her incredible talent is heard throughout the album. The entire band plays so well together and they really compliment the powerful vocals of lead singer, Beau Gray. Listening to their music you feel as if the band is actually living in the moment of the song they
are singing.
The title track, "Poor Troubled Life", ends the CD. What an ending this song makes...a song about not letting your troubles hold you down,
but rather let them lift you up. It reminds me of the resilliance of the Irish people and all the hardships they have endured.
Celtic music lovers...if there is one CD I would recommend owning it is "Poor Troubled Life". Lexington Field is outstanding!!!
