The Celtic Rebels Band just released a new CD, "Thirty-Two United".
This incredible album is the perfect definition of a true Irish music CD. The band dedicates this powerful cd to all who are struggling for independence and freedom. It is filled with the most memorable Irish rebel songs and ballads of fighting including; "The Wild Colonial Boy", "Irish Soldier Laddie", "Four Green Fields", and several more.
One new song and one written for their previous CD, "A Taste of Tradition" are by lead singer of The Celtic Rebels, Jimmy Farrell, and are sensational! The first is the title song, "Thirty-Two United". This song is about the thirty-two counties in Ireland standing united to make for a strong, free and proud Ireland. The second is, "A Taste of Tradition", a song about keeping the memories of the old days and old ways of Ireland alive.
My favorite on this tremendous album is The Celtic Rebels version of, "The Fields of Athenry". Jimmy has such a clear, powerful voice, often times reminding me of the late great Johnny Cash. He delivers this song in such a way that captivated me, then when the back-up vocals came in I literally got goosebumps...it sounded like a chorus of angels from heaven joined in!
A huge thank you to The Celtic Rebels for keeping memories and traditions alive in "Thirty-Two United"! You can help keep these memories alive by purchasing this cd for yourself and others...it truly is a taste of Ireland!
